est une céramiste danoise née en 1918 et active dès les années 40. Elle peaufine sa pratique en observant et en côtoyant ses aînés fameux, principalement des artistes-artisans liés au grès et aux techniques japonaises. Ainsi, elle rencontre Bernard Leach en Grande Bretagne puis Eugène Lion à Saint- Amand-en-Puisaye mais aussi Vassil Ivanoff actif à la Borne.
Ses formes organiques rappellent un regard éminemment danois sur la faune et la flore et la théière ici présentée témoigne de ses début puisque datée 47.
Gutte Eriksen is a Danish ceramist born in 1918 and active since the 40s. She honed her skills by observing and working alongside her famous predecessors, mainly artists and craftsmen associated with stoneware and Japanese techniques. She met Bernard Leach in Great Britain, Eugène Lion in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye and Vassil Ivanoff in La Borne.
Her organic forms evoke an eminently Danish view of flora and fauna, and the teapot presented here bears witness to her beginnings, as it is dated 47.
